One thing Germany has got right is that they set the speed limit for each section of the highway rather than the whole highway as we do. They also keep out of the overtaking lane when not overtaking, I wish that was enforced here.

If something was done about that, it wouldn't be so bad on our roads, even if it was still 100km/h.

What a huge surprise that was....and finished the story with "on our website are the contact details for every road minister in the country, I'm sure they'd love to hear from you" Road Ahead more information - Yahoo!7 TVFederalThe Honourable Anthony Albanese MPMinister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local GovernmentParliament House Contact: PO Box 6022Parliament HouseCanberra ACT 2600Tel: (02) 6277 7680Fax: (02) 6273 4126Location/Postal Address:334A Marrickville RoadMarrickville NSW 2204Tel: (02) 9564 3588Fax: (02) 9564 1734Email: A.Albanese.MP@aph.gov.auQueenslandThe Honourable Craig Wallace MPMinister for Main RoadsMinisterial OfficePh: (07) 3896 3691Email: mainroads@ministerial.qld.gov.auAddress: Level 13, Mineral House41 George StreetBrisbane QLD 4001New South WalesThe Honourable David Borger MPMinster for RoadsMinisterial OfficePh: (02) 9228 3555Email: minister@borger.minister.nsw.gov.auAddress: Governor Macquarie TowerLevel 37, 1 Farrer PlaceSydney NSW 2000Victoria The Hon Tim Pallas MPMinister for Roads and PortsMinisterial Office:Ph: (03) 9655 6210Email: roadsandports@doi.vic.gov.auAddress: Level 16, 121 Exhibition StreetMelbourne, Victoria 3000TasmaniaThe Hon Lara Giddings MPMinister for InfrastructurePh: (03) 6233 6752Email: lara.giddings@parliament.tas.gov.auAddress: Executive Building Level 1015 Murray StreetHobart Tasmania 7000South AustraliaThe Hon Jack Snelling MPMinister for Road SafetyPh: (08) 8226 8520Email: minetfe@saugov.sa.gov.auAddress: Level 4 Citi Central11 Waymouth StAdelaide SA 5000Western AustraliaThe Hon Rob Johnson MLAMinister for Road SafetyPh: (08) 9222 9211Email: Minister.Johnson@dpc.wa.gov.auAddress: 20th Floor, Governor Stirling Tower197 St Georges TerracePerth WA 6000Northern TerrritoryThe Hon Gerald McCarthy MLAMinister for TransportPh: (08) 8901 4102Email: minister.gmccarthy@nt.gov.auAddress: GPO Box 3146Darwin NT 0801ACTThe Hon Jon Stanhope MLAChief Minister andMinister for TransportPhone: (02) 6205 0104Email: stanhope@act.gov.auAddress: ACT Legislative AssemblyGPO Box 1020Canberra ACT 2601Get to it

I think that's a good plan about offering a rebate on newer cars, however I think they could build on that and offer a higher ammount rebate on an australian built car compared to a foreign one (would help our acconomy I think!).lastly.... test people over the age of 65 - 70 every 2 years on road rules and a practical driving test!!!!!!!
