I first noticed a squeek so when I tried fixing it I noticed that the bottom of the fan unit heats up alot when turned on. Surely this isnt right. So I took apart the motor and located the heat source. This is the problem. What is this? Some type of bearing? and should it turn with the shaft or stay stationary???? any info be good.P.S the center bush in the picture can obviously roll around as its like a ball joint. However doesnt spin freely like a normal bearing. Edited 12/06/10 12:17 AM by osonvs
