So it was out to heathcote today befor work for a few runs.... Wow it was busy!

Anyway I went home somewhat disappointed

Stock I ran 13.05 @ 110.62 ( best of a dozen runs )

With the above mentioned tune only today I did a best of 12.90 @ 113.15 mph

Half track before and after times including 60ft were about the same it's just the last few m after the 1000ft where I have picked up the time, but in contrast to this the car feels much much faster to 80km/h than before

I think it may be time to go back and harass them for the few extra psi up top, it does have much more go off the line but that wasn't reflected in the times

Looking at the times it should have been good for a 12.6 but sadly didn't make it, maybe next time

Also there was no issues at all with traction, even launching above 1500rpm, but on the way home I did a standing start dsc off no launch on the road and at 4000rpm it left 2 nice black lines for about 50m as it always does on the road, but traction was good at the track.... I'm rethinking the LSD at the moment..

Yep more top end is needed, still faster than it was but not fast enough

I went through my previous time slips and there is barely anything in it, this time around my best 60ft was about 0.02 slower than stock, and 1/8 mile was 1/10th quicker but about 2mph faster and less than a tenth in it at the 330ft mark but 3 mph up shows that there is more power than before

I'm thinking 20+ min of idleing waiting for a run could have something to do with the fact it wasn't any quicker to half track, last time I was a heathcote I got in a lazy dozen runs then got bored this time 5 and had to go... Consistent though 2nd was slowest and the rest were all under 13 (the other 4 runs)

Also no issues at all with traction on the strip, I was running STD 19's and stock dunlops @ 40psi as I like to run the car as I drive it, not with different tyres/wheels etc...

On the street through it really struggles for traction @ 50km/ off the line it's fine without a launch obviously

I'm planning to go back and jest get a few little tweaks in the tune, some stuff I'm not totally happy with.... And try to convince them that 11psi isn't enough I want 15 lol

Stock time is great....these things are understated by a lot....I wouldnt be happy with the tune time either

Update car seems to be running better, gearbox seems to have settled down I was un happy as it'd flare shifts under light to medium throttle, well not really but kinda... But it seems to have learnt to cope with more torque

So I decide next step is some rims

Here's the result, well not really.....

Turns out the stooges ordered the rear rims in the wrong spec, so they don't quite fit, and considering I'm lowered a bit, there's no chance, so anyways I'll have a pic up of the exact same setup as this but in a rim that fits, I'm getting 20x9.5 rear and 8.5 front.... The rears pictured here are 20x10 +30... the exact tyres will be fitted and the dish is the same on the proper rims but the offset is different and they are also half inch narrower

Unsure of what they cost but I can tell you the rears weigh the same as the factory 19's so I'm pretty happy with that, the fronts are a tad lighter, they are marcello rims 2 piece forged, well the rim is forged the centre is cast

Mate mine still flares it's shifts (SOMETIMES) and I had my tune done a couple of months ago I can't wait until they start reprogramming the transmission.
