You can either travel in convoy or make your own way if you want to include other things in to your trip...probably stay at Bathurst on the way down (Thus night) and Newcastle on the way back (Sun night). If you're keen you can make it down in one day but I wouldn't recommend that for the trip back if you've got a sore head!See here for all the details and further discussion.
