ha love this topic the buttplug has the zf in her bf2 with a custom tune I have the btr built with stall and I would rate my 4speed all over the zf in every way except "rollons" (dragging from speed)

I hate the no firm change u get in the zf I need to feel the car not just sliding into gear :bangcomputer:

Until the software is released (which will probably never happen) IMO the zf is meh

Everyone goes on about how awesome the ZF is...

I prefer the 4sp to drive with... More response, easier wheelspin and you can actually feel it shift...

I know the ZF is GREAT... And it can handle more power etc...But how many people are getting quick times with them...?

I know I am probably gonna get slammed... But it's just my two cents...

:roflmbo:

Dude...

If you had actually owned a zf car & had a proper drive in different conditions, you would easily forget about the tractor spec BTR. Driving one car daily & then hopping into another for a 5min test drive isn't really a fair comparison, is it?

There are quite a few 10sec zf cars floating around now & they are all still using factory converter. Once a decent aftermarket converter is available, watch the times tumble!

I own a BA XR6T with 4sp and would prefer the ZF after being in a friends new FG quite a bit.

Better fuel economy, smoother gear change but still quite firm (wheelspin) with what Dave has done by taking away the farting on gear changes! 99% of daily driving is better in every way with it.

If we are bitching about the drags then buy a 3sp or 2sp and be done with it!

ZF for the win...

How long do you have to be in a car before you buy it??? Not many people get more than a ten minute drive...

I know the zf is better on economy... And it's smoother... What I am saying is that I like the harder shifts... I like less gears...

I am just saying I like the 4 spd... I am happy with it...

Granted, you only get a short test drive before buying a car, but you can't just say that the 4speed slushbox is better than the zf without actually driving it a fair bit to fairly compare.

Sounds like you're just trying to justify your cheapskate buy :roflmbo:
