HAHAHAHAHA somethings gotta give when trying to launch a car at 3000rpm with the traction control on !!! LMAO

if you try and slip/ride any clutch and its going to stuff it ! ask Mal Woods himself he will tell you either dump it or dont bother !

though when I got my XR6T ute .... the first launch I tried was with the traction control on and I thought "Fark my clutch is fried"

hahahaha until my mate pointed out I had the traction control on :innocent:

ahhh well ya live and learn !

Ford only introduced DSC for the FG models. BA and BF do not have DSC. They only have TC and electronic brake force distribution. So I dont know what a couple of you are talking about. As for Mal Woods option 6, I have had this clutch with over 600rwkw and I can tell you, its the best clutch on the market for the xr6 turbo's/f6. I suggest to anyone to turn the TC off as soon as you get in the vehicle. Dropping the clutch with TC on is just plain stupid. As previosuly mentioned, the amount of damaged that your doing to the vehicle is not good at all.

But I'm guessing based on your username you're making that call based on the utes. Sedans definitely had stability control pre-FG

hmmmm, maybe my BF owners manual has a misprint of approx 4 pages (all about DSC and what it does) pages 137 to 141 :msm:

Believe me, it has DSC, not TC....

The DSC button has a car with skid marks following it. TC has a picture of a wheel spinning flicking up dirt

thankyou. I know they didnt have DSC. I have owned BFs, BAs, FGs, FPVs and XRs. Pretty sure I have a good understanding of features on each model. Might have to check all my manuals though to see if 4 pages are missing out of allof them....... ; )

Yes the XR sedans did.

BA XR utes didn't have anything, BF XR utes got traction control only, FG XR utes have DSC.

FPV were too tight to calibrate the DSC for different wheel and brake options so left it off on both sedans and utes.

Your words were "Ford only introduced DSC for the FG models" which is incorrect.
