eh everyone,,

Well I have a 2000 Ford Courier which I am gradually doing a 2003 BA XR6 Turbo engine conversion into and was just hunting around for some answers.. I've been reading the forum flat out and have learnt a lot from what all the other owners and tuners have to say.

To start with, yes I want a good amount of power,, target figure is about 450rwkw (hopefully). Why? Because I can, it's in what will be a show car and driven rarely..

Some details are:

Yes I am rebuilding the motor with an Atomic rebuild kit, so the bottom end will be strong, I'm not cutting corners and plan to do everything right the first time to save issues later on (hopefully).

I have a Garrett GT4202R turbo, CPC Plenum, T56 gearbox,, currently have 72lb Nizpro purchased injectors, Crow Cams Stage.2 cams, will have custom made turbo manifold, cooler piping and exhaust.

1). Will 72lb injectors be enough to see me to around this figure, or should I be upgrading?

2). I'm pretty sure I'll move to an Atomic Cam, which stage cams should I be looking into?

3). Other than rebuild, the parts I already have/ upgrading etc, what else will I need to do to my motor to get it to where it needs to be to handle/ make this power..?

Also, I will be running the BA XR6T diff shortened, yes, it will have Falcon brakes all round (the front is already converted to 5 stud with custom hubs).

Any information will help and be much appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Danny.

Sound hot, I have a mate with a hilux running a 2jz with a big single turbo conversion and the 3.3l stroker kit (I think it's 3.3, I'm not too educated when it comes to the famous 2jz). Got any pics of the build so far? :stickpoke:

72 should be fine for the power your after... But you could always get them redrilled to flow more...

What clutch? Tailshaft etc...

And brakes??? Just stockies, upgrade pbrs or brembos???

Ecu?

Id be looking at either the Stage 4 Atomic cams or possibly the Stage 4 1/2's. If your going to go for either of them, id suggest you speak to Brad at Atomic about porting the head as well.

Thanks for the replies and info!

Yeah I'll ask Atomic a few questions regarding motor side of things then..

The gearbox, T56, just turned up today so I haven't got anything sorted out on that front, I read that MalWood makes some top notch ones, so I'll look into that..

That's good that the 72lb's will work,, one less thing to have to change.. ha

The tailshaft, I'll get one made once the gearbox and diff are in, nice strong one to suit the car..

Brakes, yeah at the moment they are just the standard BA XR6T ones with the rotors machined, I'll upgrade them later on no doubt..

What sort of fuel system am I looking at creating, how many fuel pumps?

Cheers!

Oh and ECU- planned to run the Falcon ECU piggypacking with the Courier computer so as to still run all the internal side of things from the courier aswell as the motor etc.. however may look into an aftermarket computer if the need arises..
