Hi Guys I just finished putting a new clutch in my ba xr6t series 2 and now I cant get it in gear. Had it in gear when I first started (with new clutch in)it then put it in neutral and now it won't go back. Makes a hi pitched squeak almost a whistle when I try.

Anyone got some knowledge they want to throw my way?

Was the clutch bled up completely? If you didn't have a friend to help you this may not have been done right, always remember that you can't let the clutch reservoir get empty otherwise it will just suck more air into the lines...

Senna_T is correct, assuming the clutch has been fitted correctlty and the crush height is correct and it selects gears while the motor is off, the only other thing that can be a cause is the hydraulics, if all has been bled correctly and a new csc was used the only other thing that can be a problem ia the master cylinder. master cylinders are not normally a problem in these cars so we'll assume it is a bleeding issue.

Bleed the clutch well unless bubbles have a tendency to get stuck I would think that they are out.

Pulled it home with the bolts probably the last cm or two

What clutch did you end up fitting? Is the clutch plate around the correct way (I know a stupid question, but I have seen it before).

It is an Exedy. It could only be fitted one way the spring mechanism sticks out an inch or so on one side.

Bleed it again full presser in the pedal now, no difference however.
