Seeing im a turbo nut I couldnt have anything less lol. I currently have a evo 7 which is putting out a decent amount of power with a safe tune, and I dont really want to sell it, but I dont need 2 cars.Will I be disappointed with the buy? im reading alot of topics about stuff breaking on the fords. im also in two minds about the f6 its 20 or so grand more but in the long run your only going to put bigger brakes and stuff on the xr6t, and its only going to sit around most of the time depreciating with my job. what do I need to look out for, if there are any problems from new? ill either buy new or close to new.Thanks for any input.AaronHi ScarecrowHow much are you after for the evo?Cheers. Scarecrow Member 13 Member For: 14y 5m 10d Gender: Male Location: Adel, SA Posted 31/05/10 04:20 AM Author Share Posted 31/05/10 04:20 AM Thanks again for the advice verve, will definitely look at that.I don't expect the ute to be any where as good as the Evo, or handle like its on rails, Im happy if it carrys my bike, doesn't break all the time, goes like stink, and peels the rubber every now and again ( I so miss rwd lol).But yeah you cant compare it to a Japanese built car their not even on the same page build quality wise.I am a mechanic and might do the servicing, and get a friend who owns a workshop to stamp the book to keep warranty, as ive never trusted anyone to work on my cars I like to know stuff is done right.Not sure if a few missed my last question, What are ford like with warranty if something goes wrong with it and they find its been tuned?Prob chasing 23 to 24 low fly, its just clocked 100 thou but mostly country drives up and back to the river shack. Some have had things fixed under warranty with the workshop knowing it has been tuned. Others have difficulty getting legitimate warranty work done. Best thing to do is if you get it tuned then assume your warranty is gone but still claim if you need to. There is a chance you get away with it but if they find out they will only refuse the work.
