what do people think of bosch EV14s 52lb for assuming for powers no more than 350-400rwkw? im considering them as I assume they are direct fit for the fgs no mods required? for 350rwkw is it better to go for say 52lb or 60lb?

Aren't these the only choice for injectors on FG's at the moment beside the "re-drilled" std ones that are available?

And they are also exactly like the std ones in terms of quality (good) and spray pattern just higher flowing?

Go injector dynamic EV14. I thought these were drilled injectors, someone on this forum said they were modified with a new injector plate. I did some more research on it and I think neither of the above is true.

After a bit of research I am quite sure the ID injectors are factory Bosch Motorsport injectors. Completely UNMODIFIED, just flow matched.

So if this is the case then Injectors Dynamics are the way to go. You can also buy them from Bosch Germany but they are no cheaper and not flow matched.

60... Better off leaving alittle bit of room and not having them maxed out as ratter said...

The EV14 injector that I talk about is 58lb at 60psi (xr6 turbo fuel pressure). So if you are aiming for 400rwkw I would say it would do the job. Even if it was considered borderline you can always raise fuel pressure to 70psi provided everything else is setup fine.

Personally I would look no further except the 750cc or 1000cc Injector Dynamics, now that I know they are a factory unmolested injector.

The ID are modified, but don't have a drilled director plate like the nizpro's. I rate the ID's highly but they come at a cost. The dekas are so popular because they are cheap, readily available, and generally outflow the turbo's air supply. There's a lot of debate on injector choice which is why you should stick to your tuners recommendation :-)

I always thought they were modified but then last week read a recent post on a forum somewhere that ID take them directly out of the Bosch Motorsport catalogue and all that they do is match them. Whether some are modified and some are bosch Motorsport, I dont know and I am trying to work it out. But if you check this out that came out in Feb 2010

http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/pdf/components/injection_valves/EV_14.pdf

there is a 1000cc injector 280158040 for 100 euro that may be a candidate for ID1000.

Nevertheless, bosch have the injectors, its just getting the right price which is the problem.

If you looked up EV14 2 years ago there was basically nothing about them. Give it a few years and I bet you there will be a few hiflow factory bosch readily available at an affordable price.

Whatever the case I will not bother with molested injectors, only factory.

Good point, the head design in their pics is all the same but in reality it's probably different? The ID's have a distinctive head on them and there is no director plate like the 52lb EV-14. But yeah this could very well be the high flow motorsport design? I haven't used the high flow motorsport one's so can't comment, they're stupidly expensive if I remember correctly
