So it finally turned up yesterday... So everything was set for the car to be ready this arvy. But..The cat which was supplied with my exhaust was the version of an earlier model exhaust, and so when the boys went to fit it there was no room for the o2 sensor, and the exhaust was basically a sh*thouse fit. Hangers didn't line up, pipes didn't even make it past the rear skirt.Turns out the newer exhaust is meant to fit a cat which is 40mm longer. So SMB is air bagging me an adapter to lengthen the exhaust by the 40mm it needs to fit. Very frustrating, when you've been organising mods for so long, and when the time finally comes to install it you get screwed by something as simple as the wrong cat being sent. Hopefully it arrives monday or tuesday, cause I fly out wednesday and will be gone for another 3 weeks. Oh well, sh*t happens I suppose. But I'm sure it will all come together eventually. On a more happy note, The nizpro plenum is in, my process west surge tank and race intake is in. The massive optima drycell battery is in the boot. Cooler hooked up, injectors ready, turbo fully niz modded and ready to go. just waiting on that little adapter to arrive and then happy days. But I'm sure something else will go wrong... Bound to happen haha, a rod will probably pop out and say hello while it's getting tuned.. Just my luck. And made the whole car really droney. But finally the new spacer arrived, and the exhaust fits perfectly, no more drone, no more rattle. It sounds awesome, zero drone. Just sucks it took 3 months to get it sorted out. I will still try and get that vid up at some stage. When we first found it didn't fit correctly Grant mentioned the wrong cat had been sent. Although the 5" cat was supplied as requested. I said I'd send it back if he sent the newer one. But as I was in a hurry to get the exhaust on (cause my car was out of action) it was decided the spacer would be a quicker option. Although after all the stuffing around turns out it wasn't.Hopefully noone else has the same problem as me, and these newer cats fit better. But Like I said, now that the whole thing fits correctly it sounds good. Nice and quiet in the car.
