Maybe its had a hard life and has alot of blow by. The water getting into the cylinders and washing down the rings and bores wouldnt help much either. Any bit of sh*t around the rings and top of the bore that would of been helping seal combustion has now probably been washed away from all the coolant/steam. Water in the oil will always boil off more too, causing to come out the breather. When you get the head off let us all know how clean some of the piston tops are and how much oil you see in the inlet manifold. Have you checked your turbo for excessive play?

there is a little bit of play in the turbo. it still spins freely by hand without making noise or rubbing on the housing.

the inlet manifold is dirty as all crap. Its entirely caked in oil scum just like everywhere else on the inside. im guessing degreaser is gonna be the best thing to clean all the oil off with? I have no idea how the car could even kick over, let alone drive any distance.

We had abit of trouble getting the crank pulley off. It was stiff and we didnt really have the right tools. Finally got it off and that when this happened...

Litres of oil and water poured out from the crank, its a mystery as to how the car didnt blow up in a pile of steam. Not really sure how it all got there. We still havent got the head off. The Crank pulley consumed way too much time. And in the end its now gotta get replaced as it got a bit damaged :(.

Oh no,its chocolate milkshake bad.... Its been leaking for a while and could possibly be a cracked head or gasket. You might aswell pull the whole thing apart as you dont want to do the head etc and then find that the block is cracked. Havent seen one of these blocks crack except for when a rod smashes it. If your keeping the car for a while do it all nice. That pic reminds me of the vl commo when they crack heads under the cam. Oh and if litres of oil and water came out of the crank seal area when you pulled the balancer off, your oil is probs way overfull as its got alot of water in it. This would definately cause alot of heavy breathing.

I thought it was a small leak coming from the heater hose. So I was driving it for maybe 2 weeks like that. Unaware of the real culprit. Then all of a sudden it was losing coolant really fast, so I checked the oil and realised what was going on.
