Don't forget not everyone has a blank cheque to hand over when they want something new done to their car.

Over the years there have been countless people that have made good safe power at a moderate price, it's just a matter of doing your home work, talking to the right people and NOT cutting corners on the important stuff.

To me that comes across as more of an enthusiast then someone that just hands over there car and a bucket of cash and says call me when it's got a bazillion kw's.

I think *Beep* has learnt a valuable lesson that will actually help alot of future members when it comes to modifying there new pride and joy for the first time.

Whats done is done, learn from it and move on.

End Rant.

Could you have a prerequisite for people who have their cars tuned. IE: serviced recently and so on

We tell all customers it is wise to have clean filters and oil before tuning, but at the end of the day can not make them do it.

We explain it to them that we don't want any excuses for not making power.

I should add that most customers are great to deal with, it's just easier to remember problem ones

Just another idea but what about requesting a road worthy before tuning. I suppose that would just come down to the person who inspects the vehicle and how vigilant they are when looking over a car

Life would be so much easier if our brains only remembered the good stuff... Unfortunately they dwell on everything bad!!!! :-(

Price is discussed and a written quote is given allmost everytime to our tune customers, pretty much each customer knows how much they will spend before spending anything with us, we have made customers aware of any possible setbacks before starting based on our experience and what they allready have/want, boost may be pulled back if needed to cover weak valve springs, maxed out injectors etc.

We do not treat our customers as an open cheque book and we tailor mods to suit their budget and goals, whether or not it is happening imediately or over a period of time.

We have lost possible tunes to other business's, because we tell the owner what to expect, not promise them what they want to hear, only to have them come back later to have things done as originally discussed.

In fairness to your "customer" Danny, didnt he deserve some sort of time frame in which he could expect his car ready? As for it being a nightmare to work on, im sure you would have been aware of this before you took it on...

I know from personal experience that you do stuff people around when wanting your services. Twice now I have contacted you about 2 different cars and yet no joy. First time we set a time and date and you pulled out at the last minute which was annoying. Second time you claim to get no reply to a pm, I resent it to which I have still recieved no reply. I also remember making an offer on your wheels which you advertised only to pull them off once I made an offer stating they were "buckled". I have obviously gone elsewhere and there is no bad blood but if you ever did open your own shop I dont know how successful it would be if you coudlnt deal with situations like these.

How do you think we feel as the consumer where guys like yourself call all the shots... Im not loaded, I pay good hard earned money and want to make sure its always spent wisely. I heard you were a good option, obviously I was wrong which leaves me as a customer rather annoyed and having to do more research and spend more time forming relationships with a shop that I can trust my car with. But this isnt just aimed at you but any work shop out there that stuffs guys like me around.

Anyway that's my 2 cents, never intended to offend if I have.

Roadworthy stuff, will not normally affect the dyno safety or performance side of things.

Technically most cars we have tuned would not be roadworthy for various different reasons :bangcomputer:

I think *Beep* u should of just taken your car to a workshop where it will be worked on day in day out and not someone who only does it in there spare time. Avo put your engine in and tuned it , I dont know why u never gave it back to them, it would of been better for you to have done these mods when the motor was out and got it all done in one go.... in the end everything would of been much easier and more time to enjoy your pride and joy.
