Hi ill be getting a bf xr6t 6speed auto soon. If I go and put on a full exhaust from the turbo back, will I need a tune to suite ? or can I drive around with the exhaust on and wait to get the tune when I get the rest of my mods. ?

Thanks

Why ? Is it going to throw out the afr's that much its going to cause issues ? Or more due to the fact id get more power with the tune. I Just wanna know if its safe to still drive until I get the rest of the mods done

you can drive it from the zorst shop to the tuner. You will have to nanny it and for gods sake keep it off boost.

I had an APS Zorst removed and a custom job fitted and the car was running lean as.

I expected this and basically got overtaken by pushies driving it to CV

Is this only due to the fact you changed your dump and front pipe aswell ?

If I just fitted a catback would it still screw with the AFR:S Id just prefer to fit all the stuff myself then take it to a tuners and then have them charge me to fit it. Obviously stuff like injectors they will need to put in at the shop.

I should be able to get 300rwkw with cooler, exhaust, injectors, fuelpump and tune ?

yeah I had a custom dump pipe and big cat fitted.

Don't bother with a Cat back IMO as this is one of the biggest restrictions in the std system

You should reach 300+ with those mods providing you do the Cat.

Also factor in the cost of an actuator

I agree with Buf-Phoon I wouldnt worry about the rest of the exhaust, big cat and dump is all that's needed for moderate power. the standard exhaust is pretty ok, except for that stupid bit where it goes over the diff. Save the money from the exhaust and get injectors and fuel pump.

yeah and dont drive it around with an exhaust and no tune, overboost can be bad for you. get all the parts then fit em when you get the tune.

Cheers
