Tell us what turbo have you upgraded to?

What are the pro's and cons?

What model turbo and what power have you got out of it?

What turbo upgrades are possible for our vehicle?

What turbo would you upgrade to for 1/4 mile and track work?

why didnt this take off?

Im interested now too as im looking for a new turbo setup.

From what I can see people upgrade to the T04Z for 450rwkw, or a GT42 or T51r package for 600+rwkw.

I know the t04z is streetable from reading up on it, but as for the other 2 I got no idea.Would be interesting for peopel to let us know how 'streetable' these turbos are and what else can be used as an upgrade to the 35/40 but still been able to be driven on the street without hitting boost at 4000+ rpm

GT40's are a good size, bit less top end to the 42s n 45s, mush stronger at 2500 but if your stalls above that you could easilly drive a bigger size on the street, and you can tune a load of lag out of them...

I just bought a GT40. cant tell ya how good it is because my car is still getting built, but I have driven an XR6t with a GT40 on it and all I could say was WOW!!! the boost came on a little later than standard (around 2900-3000rpm) and just pulled all the way through the rev range. that's why I went for the 40 and not the 42r (not practical for the street as boost comes on around 3600rpm).

I get my car back within the next few days after having a GTX4202 fitted. Cant wait. Could have opted for a 40 but thought id end up wanting to achieve more power from the car further down the track.

tinyplums is getting good results from his 40 and 6boost manifold over in WA which tempted me to get one. Then when Ross wanted to step up to a 42 it sold me.

Also alot of people are starting to get great results from the T04Z wheel and bigger housing. Getting alot of enquiries on this set up. Looks impressive (will post up a pic tomorrow)

Got a new 42 for sale if anyones interested. :buttonit:
