usually things work for the best since iv been going there the last year, all my cars tuned were bullets for the mods I had done. Im sure everything will pan out with my auto, I appreciate your concern straughts. iv paid for a job and I plan to hav it sorted.

Since I am impatient im just trying to work out how the auto could have this problem of shifting from 3rd to 4th. Well.. not shifting in this case. Nick aside as the thread is about my auto, just after peoples responses on what this problem could be or if anyone has had the same thing happen to them??

bit of an update, stock tunes uploaded and car still has shift issues from 3rd to 4th.

most probably a buggered solenoid or valve body issue. This is the reason y I got the box built, may have never needed a build lol

You may have already damaged clutches so not tune will get rid of the issue. I'd like to see the state of the clutches. I doubt it's a valve body or solenoid. More likely burnt clutches because of removed torque tags and too much boost down low. My 2 cents...

been through the same thing you have with my old ba. had my box rebuilt due to the usual 2-3 flaring that seems to be the norm for a stock btr with 300rwkws. had it rebuilt by a different company and sure enough the thing was still the same. dodgy f*cking tuner.

wonder how many more people have gone to this apparently well respected southside brisbane tuner only to have a problem with there btr. this mongrel would have been and probably still is raking in massive dollars for getting paid for an auto rebuild when its just a shift pressure adjustment due to these robbing pricks purposely dropping it and causing the flare.

hope you get it sorted mate. dont go back once it is that's for sure.

I had only done 300k's on the auto soon as I noted the problem on the first boot I called him up n took it straight there. I doubt the box would be hurt already but ya never know

I am still in shock from a zf 6 speed going belly up...

I have a bf m11 6 speed auto and I find going into 6th gear is a bit more of a thumb... but only at around 80 or so km/hr.

This thread has now made me re-think my modifications... I guess its the price you pay for doing mods to a car... :icon_ford:

While they are an awesome piece of work, they're not perfect and the odd one goes south. Having said that, I've never heard of one going south in 3 days after a rebuid. But knowing the 'tuner'/'mechanic' who did the work, I am not surprised.

This is the same 'tuner'/'mechanic' who once told me that he was rebuilding a BTR under warranty (sound familiar) for a customer. The customer was to pay for a gearset and labour was free. He was charging the customer $1000 dollars for a brand new Ford gearset but was actually fitting a second hand one which cost him $300. *beep*.

Once again, sorry to hijack. :roflmbo:

Tony, with all due respect, you won't prove anything to those who've been there and done that with this man. You've obviously got an idea of what you think is going on and that's fine. It's your life and your decision after all.

But please, just be smart about it. Don't go handing out more money until the last job is done. Like I said, I know quite a few people that have been stung and some for very large amounts of money. This is fact, not fiction. The law was involved in some cases (not for the first time) but unfortunately, some people know how to get around the system, even when the sheriffs are trying to enforce a court order. The only real protection you have is the decisions you make.

Again, I'd hate to hear this go further south than it already has. Good luck.
