Ive never tried ceramic. Would like to. But I aggree with the soft pad option. Mine are dusty as but with the dark wheels its not as bad. Id rather wear the pads out before the rotors.

I have ferrodo DS 2500 on the front and Bendix ultimate on the back and the ferrodos have 1/2 the dust of the back

Smickey did you get the pads specialy made for your calipers? whats the damage on that compared to SRT's and ferrodos $170 a set and what calipers do you have?

Thanks for all the replies guys, I spoke to the guys at Race Brakes in Sydney and he said that the way it generally works is the better the pad then you put up with plenty of dust... I would like to try a cerarmic pad, to see the dust levels, but running the DBA 4000XS rotots, I don't really want to warp them and have to pay for another set...

xr6tc - mate, im running 4000xs as well.

replaced them just last weekend with the pads... nice combo... every place I called all said they would be nice paired up.. and they were correct...

having a but of trouble with the noise but the orignals and the ferodas were all the same as well... I think its something else down there causing the noise...

So far no dust... 1 week in and have been giving them quick a bit! :dontknow:

more dust on the rears!

Powerslide:

Mate,

Pads were off the shelf...

No need for custom cuts on the Brembos...

The 4 pots are the same used in Alfa, Subarus, Audi and a few others, so easy to find... I think they are Brembo 500 series or something like that... (cant remember its written down in the office)...

:spoton:

About 250-300$ if anyone wants a set, happy to hook you up bud... made a few mates (business contacts) during this last change over... some cheap specials.. heheheh :)

I have recently installed some ferodo ceramic pads which I was told my the local brake shop are new on the market. They seem to be ok so far with no dust, noise, shudder and good braking in the city/freeway.

I've been running dba 4000 slotted rotors and Race Brake RB24s up front for almost a year now and not much dust, no squealing, definitely no brake shudder and they stop well. So much so that I just had my rears done this morning with the same setup.

Here's my post in the brake shudder thread about it.

I've still got to run the rears in - but so far so good :beerchug:
