Regarding YCL's comments about how the Yanks have little or no knowledge of other countries, did anyone see that episode of CNNNN where one of the "reporters" went over to the states, where he walked the streets claiming he was the Prime Minister of Australia? It was surprising how many people thought that this was for real, and started thanking him for all of his support in the war against terror. Hell, they even wanted photos and signatures.

I find it amazing that these people are so uninformed.

I know what you mean. Man, try being on a phone call to the USA with them passing the phone around so all cal hear "what an Aussie sounds like". Good 'septic tank' mate of mine, Todd, has been living in Australia for several years and still doesn't know whata the hell we were on about half of the time. Moved back to the USA a year ago and he's sooo Americanised, he's completely forgotten all the Aussie slang so Jodie and I spent over an hour on the phone with him just to confuse him all over again, was quite amusing but I suppose you had to be there. :D
