hey guys,

I have recently had my standard twin plate ap racing clutch, replated to freshen it up and cope with new power levels.

clutch has been tested by the mechanics and everything to do with the clutch itself is fine.

after taking it back twice, it seems that a few days after I drive the car, first and reverse just wont engage,

last night I was sitting in the driveway for over 5 minutes trying to get the gearstick into reverse and it just wouldnt go.

do you guys have any suggestions as to why it might not be going into gear?

I have spoken to the mechanic and they think it may be due to leaking air somewhere along the line, and reckon replacing the master slave cylinder will fix the problem.

any suggestions would help,

Anthony

I'd be looking towards the clutch being not bled up correctly, sometimes these things can be a pain to bleed. Also, make sure they bolted the shifter back in correctly, if its loose the slector may not line up properly.

both times it was taken to the mechanic,it was bled and was perfect to drive for the first few days. after that it becomes a nightmare to drive. the shifter and clutch have been inspected and all are perfectly in place and working correctly.

as I mentioned in the first post, it may be due to air leaking somewhere in the line :fool:

would replacing the master slave cylinder solve this?

Re

The Clutch Master Cylinder is under the Dash above the Clutch Pedal. The Slave is inside the Gearbox Bell Housing.
