my car already has a tune not paying another 1000 for a touch up tune...I guess the wiring is there for the solenoid???

I started making up a throttle body relocation pipe, hopefully till clear the bonnet or else I might have to pull the butterfly vac pump off and just wire them open...

Funny you should mention this. IIRC the factory XR6T tune specifies a 7.7 L manifold volume in the software. It's difficult to get accurate info on the volumes of the different plenums and relate it back.

7.5l IIRC,

Im considering taking my plenum off for painting so i spose i could measure the volume at the time,of course the volume of the lower manifold would need to be measure too, I spose the volume takes into account everywhere from behind the throttle blade to the the back of the valve?

It would be interesting to see exactly what difference this would make to tuning the car?

7.25l actually.....

Made abit more progress on the plenum today. ported and polished it with the trusty old die grinder and got the sides and top welded up. I haven't got photos of that cos my phone died but I will get some tomoro.

tightg 90deg bend close to throttle body = bad for airflow

Process west have been using this for their stage 3 kit for a few years now and guys are punching out 550rwkw no probs. Kent (DUS12) is one of these guys.

yeah true, I just had a look at some pics looks like its a bigger bend, the one off the manifold looks tight but yeah the other one looks like a longer radius bend, its just a mock up atm anyways I have longer radus bends there I can use...the one off the manifold has to be that tight or it will hit the manifold its 58mm CLR, I got a 88mmCLR there I can use....or I can get a 118mm clr mandrel bend....

would someone be able to have a quick measure roughly how big the bends are?? does anyone know how much they are to buy just on there own? I read somewhere you cant buy them on there own??

manifold looks cool, not sure about how the plate will sit on the round holes if you have seen the manifold pulled apart its not flush, you will know what I mean if you have seen it...

are you screwing the bolts in from the bottom or top? how you gona do that? how heavy is it compared to the stocker? I kinda under estimated when I made mine I thought 3mm would be sweet....fail lol

I will be screwing the engine side from the top and using studs on the other side with a nut on the underside. not sure on weight cos I havent compared but I will weight both and let u know.

not sure wat u mean by this "not sure about how the plate will sit on the round holes if you have seen the manifold pulled apart its not flush"

the round holes are sorta trumpets so there will be a pocket under the plate when you bolt it down....sorta can see it in this pic...

how you going to screw the nut down on the inside? is the lid bolt on or something? or bolt it down then weld the lid on?
