Hi guys,

Im thinking of getting hot side pipes, just wanting to know if its worth doing without getting a plenum first. not planning on getting a plenum anytime soon.

would there be any significant power increase.

yes. your cold side could be huge, but air will not flow quicker than the smallest pipe can flow.

that's a pretty general statement, which isnt always correct...

seeing as though it isnt a huge restriction that is being removed, it will probably be ok

has anyone had any experince with a hotside pipe change, without a re-tune? and had it checked?

Some cars will need a touch up tune, others wont... It really depends on how the car is tuned prior to changing the hotside piping.

Its a smart move to ALWAYS get the car on the dyno when hardware has been changed as some tunes have more margin for extra airflow, and others are right on the limit.

I put rapids hot side pipe on my turbo and got a instant response in the throttle and all ok on a dyno run afterwards on std tune with k&n filter and f6 intake.
