I’m going for a set of tyres and was wondering what you guy’s think is the best choice, price is not in the equation.

Durability, All weather performance etc (make that wet it is Vic after all).

I was thinking of a set of Toyo’s as they seemed to be middle of the range in the testing that MOTOR did earlier this year.

Dont mind the Dunlop's but I'm not sure wheather there's a better choice.

Bridgestone are good tyres with fantastic grip but they lack longevity.

I am a Dunlop devotee and I have found the FM901 the best tyre for big heavy cars such as the Falcon. I can usually get about 20k from the FM901 and that is with very hard driving.

G.T Radials & Continental Tyres.

Better wear than the Dunlops & Cheaper.

Just starting to raise their heads in Australia but the Continentals are standard fitment on Porshe Boxter, Jaguar, B.M.W & Mercedes.

Have seen on average about 30000 out of these.

I've got Bridgestone SO-3's and I have to say that there the best handling tyre I've ever driven on. Standard issue on HSV, porsche and most HWP cars are suited up with them. I've driven on yokohama, goodyear, Marshalls(very bad), Michelins and SO3's better them all in the wet and dry. I get around 25k out of a set. Price is around $370ea

Hopefully wont be replacing mine until early next year if possible, but when I do will more than likely put Yokohama on. Not real happy with the dunlops on as standard, and have always though Yokies to be a good compromise of wear/grip. The A539s on my last car were a very good tyre (in 16in), and the price was reasonable, so may give them another run.
