Anyone Permanently Solve Brake Shudder

Guys I have used different pads cleaned the hub surfaces have the DBA 4000 slotted on and still shudder keeps comming back...currently using the Bendix Ultimates...Has anyone had any success with permanently solving this issue?

dont bother machining if they are new. how many kms u drivin on them? ... normally you need to bed the rotors in before you start braking hard... did you put the rotors on??

did you clean the rust and crap of the hubs before you put them on?

I went to Fulcrum suspension and had a free frontend check, they showed me the main bushes under braking and there was Mad play that was causing the shudder (under braking).

Maybe someone knows more?

The bushes are fluid filled and do have some play in them.

Shudder can be caused by several things, but most likely warped disk rotors.

This happens when you heat up the disks and then stop the car. The areas when the pads are cool slower than the rest of the rotor, causing the disks to warp.

Crappy disks like the OEM ones will warp faster, but all disks will warp if they are not cooled down before the car stops.

As for other causes, bad or lose wheel bearings, bad wheel alignment and siezed calipers will all cause shudder to some degree.

Most people have found the DBA4000 and some good pads will noticably reduce the shudder. If this has not worked for you, then I would suggest you seek a professional front end specialist.

Yeah I have already had the rotors lightly machined have had them professionally fitted have even had the hub surfaces cleaned...I do allot of KMS... allot of those on the motor way...I have followed the beddig in procedure etc...but nothing has really worked for me...I might go and see Heasman Steering in St Peters Sydney see what they say...I know about the heat spots causing uneven pad material distribution on the rotor surface...but for every day driving its not very practical trying to not to apply the brakes when you come to a stand still because you dont want to create heat spots...

replace the front bearing hubs and use same rotor and pads but get rotors remachined. This is the next step IMO.

I had a BA Falcon and a VT commode where changing the hubs fixed it. Even go with a different aftermarket brand on the rotors. I used orig Ford on the BA and Coreteck aftermarket on the VT

I remember years ago I was giving the car a good thrash and on the way home pulled into one of those auto washers and ran the car through.

(Big mistake) :Doh: as the rotors were still quite hot from the heavy braking I was doing and when the cold water hit them It warped the rotors.

So theres just another way to warp them.
