This is so funny and was maybe a valid argument 18 year ago or so when they started appearing, but the argument is long dead and I think most people with even a modicum of neurons know what the answer is. Road tolls stagnated and increased for many years after cameras cam on line and it's been documented all over the world. The government relies on sheep mentality to get away with it's farce.

Australia is now the anti driving capital of the world.

I also seriously doubt that the statistics used reflect the increased safety provided by modern vehicle design and implementation.
