hey all.

got a ba xr6 turbo ute and a weird topic but its quite annoying also as ive put up with it for a while now. everytime I put my aircon on I get this weird almost like speaker squeek ticking but the moment I turn it off it all goes away. I have no idea what it is but it has nothing to do with my radio as I turn that off and still ticks away.

anyone else had this problem and fixed it? if so how... thanks guys

Pretty sure there's a topic about this problem some where as alot of us here get the same issue. I think it was like the fan just rubbing on a section of the housing or something similar to this, the fix was a dremel.

I dont normally hear it as my aircon fan speed is always up louder than this ticking noise makes which is mainly heard on its lowest speed.

Check it's not fan only related. Turn AC off and run the fan only. If it's still there, stuff falls into the fan sometimes and needs to be cleared out.

yeah ive checked that also. still whistles away when is just air with no aircon on. its like it comes out of the speakers but I no its not.

Drop the glove-box out and see if these's stuff caught in the fan.
