It's always run on 98 fuel.My question is do bigger, say 60lb injectors feel any different from stock at low rpm road speeds or would FPV F6 (42 or 48lb? size?) injectors better suit my application?Eventually I will be fitting a bigger intercooler and 5" 100cpi cat, but that will be it. Not interested in after market exhausts or battery relocations. Would like close to 300rwkw, but no more. Could this be achieved safely with F6 injectors, stock FG turbo and my other mods on a safe lowish boost? Also will these bigger injectors make it safer on the track (I.e. on boost out of high speed corners with half tank) or should I opt for a slightly richer tune. (Don't want to go to the expense/hassle of surge tanks and bigger fuel pumps) Thanks.

I do notice it a tiny bit when its cold, but after its warm its the same if not better. It come down to the tune, so get it done properly and you wont have a problem. Also if your going racing id opt for a better pump and surge tanks as its not the injectors what pike it when you come out of corners at hi g's its the pumps ability to pump fuel from a tank which is experiencing high g forces. You will save your engine. Edited 07/05/10 02:12 AM by Benji_vs

With a larger injector you will not want any occurances of lack of fuel supply. As for injectors, have you realized there are very few FG size injectors on the market and if you were to opt for Siemens DEKA 60lb you will have to space your fuel rail out to fit a BA / BF sized injector.I have recently started supplying a 1000cc injector that is a direct replacement for the FG sized injector and have been very happy with their results. I have a set on my car and recently tuned another FG F6 with these injectors. Low RPM and idle with these injectors have not been affected compared to the stock injectors. He also has a surge tank which I think all would recommend like Hiro has said for you doing track work.

I'd recommend them also but alot of my FG customers are hesitent to space out the fuel rail.

At the moment the car has 341 rwkw with the only mods being F6 intercooler F6 injectors and dump pipe. Edited 07/05/10 10:44 AM by tpinto
