I have an 09-plated, and an iPhone with the latest software. I can make calls fine, but I cannot for the life of me recieve them!! It shows on the screen, I press the steering wheel button, and then the screen says 'Disconnected', and the call is received on my handset. All the settings I can see on my phone say handle with Bluetooth. Anyone? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/67950-bluetooth/ Share on other sites

Guest XR09 Guests Posted 06/05/10 07:45 AM Share Posted 06/05/10 07:45 AM (edited) I had the same problem with my Nokia. My sevice man tried to tell me the phone was not compatible with the car. Yet it showed what phone it was on the screen. After a little rant and rave by me they reflashed ??? the bluetooth and I have not had a problem since. To be honest I have no idea what they did. Blue tooth has so few protocols there really is not much you can do but have Ford try and run the lastest update in it. Have you got another phone you can try to rule that out?I had a few issues with mine failing every now and then where the bluetooth interface just simply wouldn't work (couldn't select it in the ICC) and would have to pull the fuse to reset it. Module was replaced under warranty yesterday so hopefully that's the end of that. I guess if other ppl have had problems, might tell them to reflash it and see if that helps. I guess it can't make it worse, theoretically. I just couldn't fathom a car that is iPod/iPhone friendly, that it doesn't work properly with the damn thing. prudent Member 21 Member For: 15y 4m 25d Posted 06/05/10 05:04 PM Share Posted 06/05/10 05:04 PM The bluetooth module in your car isn't compatible with your iPhone. The latest bluetooth version is compatible with iPhones though, so maybe ask your dealer to update it.See here for more info:http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/BlobServer?blobtable=DFYBlob&blobheader=application%2Fpdf&blobwhere=1248864276166&blobcol=urlblob&blobkey=id Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/67950-bluetooth/#findComment-1005559 Share on other sites

I spoke with the service guys and said that I had an answer off the xr6turbo forum, to which the reply came "I don't listen to the crap off the forums." However, they have booked it in and I would imagine that they will upgrade the software and it'll work fine! I think they just get jealous that there are ppl out there that know more than they do!!!Thanks heaps for that. Will let you know if that was the culprit. The car was built 9/09 and I think I may have an older module. Apparently it has the latest software but still plays up. How can I tell which bluetooth module is in my car? where is it?Thanks Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/67950-bluetooth/#findComment-1005652 Share on other sites
