Going to buy a T in about 6 months when I get off my p's and raise enough funds. BF will be out of price range so what is the difference between a Ba series 1 and series 2? Is it worth looking around for a series 2 and paying that little bit extra?

Thanks

Thanks , is there known problems for the ba series 1? just did a search on carsales and one BA close to me to going for 12k I think its a series 1 to. So cheap if you can get them in and around that and 15k then have 5k to spend on mods.

Both gearboxes are rubbish in the Mk1 for a start and they ironed out a quite a few issues for the Mk2.

You can have my car for 23,000 Its on carsales. :spoton:

Correct. Seen a phoon that was around the 400rwkw mark using a standard zf 6 speed. They're pretty tough

they refine quite alot of things in an 'update' model...

mainly in nvh (noise/vibration/harshness).

often a suspension tweak, and normally most the 'teething' problems of a brand new model are fixed.

go a series 2, limit the power to high 200's and put a good trans cooler on and the trans should be A OK... :dontknow:
