I've had the car for about 10 months or so and I noticed it a couple of days ago and I'm now convinced that the steering wheel position is too low (even when adjusted to its highest position) for getting in/out and not hitting/rubbing against it. I went back to the service dealer today and queried it and they were none the wiser as to whether they installed the right/wrong one.Does anyone know whether Ford have recently upgraded or changed the type steering wheel in the G6ET's? As in the buttons are still silver but there are black segments separating them? If you've got this then you have the current level high series wheel (changed around mid 2009 from memory). If you have completely black buttons instead of silver then as I said, the space cadets have given you the wrong wheel. Thanks for the feedback, as the geese at the service dept had no idea and neither did Ford customer service when I called them.
