However now since its back I may as well ask how to actually get it turned off? Is it the wires and ports under the front seats or what?? anyone else had this problem?? fix?? Last thing you want happening is it going off while you're doing 100 clicks down the freeway.

Its a BA. I looked up the error in the manual and it said that while the light is on the airbag system will not work in an accident... maybe I will have to take it in to ford... all plugs seem to be connected in but I think only way to make sure is to unplug and replug.... of a thing to get to though.. This has worked for now but It could possibly come back again. When I talked to my local ford dealer they said that some falcons do get this problem coming back over and over. The solution to this is that they hard wire the airbag cable system in. So no more plugs.
Rockatansky Member 591 Member For: 14y 9m Gender: Male Posted 14/03/11 02:09 AM Share Posted 14/03/11 02:09 AM (edited) Just about got my April 2003 BA XR6T the way I want it,But there is one little niggling problem concerning an airbag warning light. After researching the problem via these two (1 and 2) online references, it appears light flash code 23 - Restraint system - Side airbag module status (passenger side, side airbag circuit fault) is the problem. In my case the light appeared, I moved the seat all the way back and forward a few times and it disappeared but now it is constant no matter what I do.In the interst of keeping this topic alive, has anyone else experienced this problem? What process did you use to rectify/repair the fault? I suppose I'll go to Ford and be charged around $250 for the pleasure. That way if the fault occurs again I'll take it straight back and not be any more out of pocket.I suppose I could disconnect the battery, wait 15 minutes, unplug and re-connect the yellow wiring connector and see if the warning goes away for starters.Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Took it to ford several times and it kept coming back eventually they replaced the driver airbag under warranty, few months later it came back again! It seems to be very temperamental it hasnt been on for several months now but then it'll just come back. Mine goes like this... when I turn the car on it does the usual light up then turns off I'll be driving like...minute or 2 and it will flash several times, go off, flash, go off then eventually stay on all the time, disconnecting my battery has taken care of it before but always seems to come back!
