Performance Chips - Are They Worth It?

Hi guys,

I have been looking at mods for my N/A BF MKII XR6 and was considering a performance mod chip. Has anyone done this and if so is it worth it?

Never heard of them, but if they're an Ebay special I'd steer clear!

Get a flash box, exhaust & F6 intake on the old girl

mate these so called performance chips dont do jack and are a waste of your money esp anything from ebay. But yes do what slash said and get a flash box, exhaust & F6 intake. even though im not a fan of spending money to make more power on a NA.

I think the chip you're thinking of changes the fuel ratios via a resister or something, you'd be better off fitting a hyclone or 4 if you want to waste money on these kind of mods.

To up the power, you need to spend money, there's no such thing as a cheap & reliable mod.

Get a full exhaust, better intake, maybe cam it and get it tuned, but driving pleasure wise, on an N/A, you're better off spending on suspension and having fun around the corners

Thanks guys. I didn't think they were for real. I already got a K&N panel filter and am working on the exhaust.
