Yesterday I took my car for a strap and I didnt notice it straight away. it was about 10 mins of normal driving I noticed a grinding noise and slight vibration through the clutch pedal while engaging and disengaging gears. it doesnt do it every time but every now and then. its only while the pedal is half ways pressed down. to me it sounds like the plate is rubbing on the flywheel.

Just want to know what you guys rekon it is. im going to change my clutch fluid and see if that makes any difference.

I would actually say its more of a scrapping sound

u sure its not the gearbox grinding coz the clutch is stuffed ? if you're holding the clutch halfway down, the plate IS rubbing on the flywheel. of course its gonna shudder/vibrate.

By looking at his Avatar it could be a Ba with the 5 speed. You could be right in saying its a gear box issue

I changed the gearbox to a t56 with a mwa opt 3+ clutch setup 5000k ago.

it goes into gear fine and out of gear fine but has a slight scrapping sound and a slight vibration in the pedal.

who installed it, flywheel could be loose or warped. unless it has always done it. heavy duty clutches are always a bit more noisey. is it the stock flywheel ?

I checked the clutch fluid and it is really dirty looking.

nothing shutters while releasing the clutch. just a slight vibration sometimes in the pedal.
