It's all preference. Everyone is going to be biased toward their own box.Yes the auto will destroy any manual no matter how quick you can shift but you have more of a "driving experience" with the manual. Is it a psychological/masculinity/control thing? Do you feel the same about intermittent wipers? Blinkers instead of arms out the window? Climate control? Power windows? Central locking? Electronic fuel injection? Electronic throttle control? Power steering?For a "real" driving experience you'd need to strip the car and whack an old carby engine in it.Get in to the 21st century and leave the tractor gearboxes where they belong.
