Went to the local dealer yesterday and was prety dissapointed in the 50th aniversary. The wheels on the turbo look realy crap. A mate commeted that they look wheels off Tempe Tyres. the badging looks like it says X250. And the side indicator stands out and looks crap. Also couldnt option the additional side curtain airbag.

have seen the 50th in the flesh now in Nitro, non turbo obviously, looked and felt pretty spunky to me. Loved the color accents all round the car, as well as the trim and badging etc etc.

But the dealer only offered me low to mid 20s at best for mine as a trade, so you talking over 20K difference to trade up on a car that's only 18 months old??:aaggl:

So guess I'll have to stick with what I got :spoton:

Just curious to know how you managed to check out a turbo seeing as we haven't started building them yet? :dontknow:

I have ordered an auto XR6 Turbo ute with bulge hardlid and receiver hitch and as never having owned a turbo before, I am looking forward to picking it up but after trolling through this forum and reading all the different problems people have had with the FG Turbo I am now somewhat concerned about my purchase.

I hope its all put together correctly and that I am lucky enough to get a Wednesday built car.

Fingers crossed.

Mate, ford pump out 1000's of cars a year. An unlucky "X" hundred might be faulty. No different from any other manufacturer

O Trader - Leave it stock and it will last forever. They only start having issues when people lower them heaps (tailshaft) or begin to pump massive power without upgrading any drivline/suspension components. There are a number of guys on here that modify properly and never have issues, Whilst some are cheap and only want power and looks at the cost of reliability.

Your ute will be fine. Remember, no-one starts a thread about how awesome and reliable their stock ute is. You only ever see threads on problems or threads on modifications. There are thousands of falcons running fine without any issues that you'll never read about.
