The box is simply slipping with all that torque and as such will need some new clutch's and preferably upgraded to handle the 350kw you are shoving down its throat.

Once upgraded it will handle that 350 easily. as long as the tuner also knows how to set the trans setting in his tune.

Would that put it into limp mode?

Didn't with mine, it just wouldn't shift out of 4th gear up to 5th under hard acceleration.

The box is simply slipping ..........

Same as I said. :w00t2:

Just get it rebuilt stronger, and you will be fine. :pooh:

hey sorry 4 late reply been away from the comp rang my tuner the next day and he said it would just be in the tune and having the slicks on might be throwing it off a bit cause was originally tuned on street tyres. and I def am reving out 4th gear 3/4 track and need 5th for the rest of the track I was passing the line at 122 mile the previous week at the end of 4th but on wed night was a lot cooler and had 2 back off cause was hitting rev limmiter in 4th 3/4 track and couldnt change gear. I just had the box serviced on fri from sure shift at geebung very happy with there work and it goes back in rdp on wed to get retuned will let u's know on how it goes

I don't get why you need 5th... I cross the line at 126mph and still in 4th...

Maybe on a stocker ... but with 350 at the wheel he's gonna need 5th ...

I'm with paulie, let it cool down and see if it behaves itself

and get the bloody thing serviced!!

Sorry mate, but your statement is incorrect.

I was running more power than 350rwkw & never even came close to changing into 5th gear at the drags. Managed a 10sec pass & numerous 130mph+ runs & crossed the line around 5500rpm after changing at ~5200rpm through the first 3 gears.

4th gear is < 1:1 & combined with the 2.73 diff ratio, there is potential for big mph without the need to change to 5th gear.

When are you shifting for 1-2, 2-3 & 3-4 changes mate?
