If they cant prove it rhey cant fine you.You will be fine, I have been pulled over for almost the same instance accept there was no doubt I had smashed the speed limit. 6 cars on a 1 laned 80km road, car upfront was doing 50ish. I gunned past all 6, I had a bit of a run up and by the time I had passed them all I was doing close to 180. Pulled back into lane, slowed back down to the limit and put cruise controll on. Not even a 1 min later another car pops out off the pack and races up my ass. And on go the Red and Blue.He asked me how fast I was going, I said I was doing about 80k's. Cop said dont be a smart ass, so I said again, I was only doing 80. He went back into his car and spoke to the passenger, came back out 2 mins later and gave me a lecture on road safty and how he has seen kids crash these new expesvive cars and it wont save my life if I had hit a tree or another car, he then said that ill recive paper work in the mail, didnt say what or why. And he drove off.Never recived anything, this is almost 2 years ago now.Just say you didnt do f*ck all wrong, then its up to them to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.As for a summons, I was done for unregistered uninsured over 21 days which is a automatic court apperance. They have to interview you before serving you the summons. In short you eaither admit to it and you get summons for facing your charges, or you dont and they choose weather to take you to court and try and prove otherwise. Summons also take 6+ months to revice currently.The police cant just slap you with a fine just cos, they have to have proof. In the eyes of the law, 51 is breaking the law, as is 130. By how much only determines the level of punishment. Point is, he certainly wasn't doing the right thing, which he has admitted to, so why the sad face from you?Perhaps you will never do the exact same thing as this bloke has done. I find it hard to believe though, that an enthusiast such as yourself has never done anything dangerous in a car, on a public road in their life. And that is what would make you a hypocrite. Perhaps you won't admit it here, and only you would know whether I'm right or not, but I am an enthusiast as well, and know what I have got up to in a past life.
