Crushing doesnt exist in NSW, so the bloke really was a detective.

Been a while but thought id let u know how I went. Just to clarify Queensland transport had this offense listed as a ticket offense of $300 and 2 points. The copper may have thought that a judge should decide. Fair enough. A floor in the system maybe as I ended up with a $250 fine and that was it. I didn't get a solicitor and was sh*tting my pants as I have a lot to loose not just a license. I think I have come to my senses as I have not enough self control in a car like this. The car will be up for sale very soon.

IMO, these laws are nothing more than draconian and extreeeeemely unimaginative. The penalties unfortunately are far more extreme these days.......I think over the top and do very little for enlightenment. I can remember in earlier years doing similar things and it was only a fine and some points (and probably a "lecture" from the officer :beerchug: ). The words that come to mind are "undue noise by manner of operation".

You appear to be more circumspect......why top the penalty off by selling it? That may be a decision you'll regret more as time goes by??????

That's exactly what all do-gooder Camry like drivers want...... :crybaby:

I totally agree, there should be so much more imagination put into laws. Why dont we just imagine more laws.

I know im giving in to the changing laws. Yeah well worse than a camry I have a POS now, cost me nothing but rego and is cheap on fuel. I do have a couple of reasons for selling it though mainly the issue of putting some much needed funds into house renovations etc but also my points are at a low level (4) and we all no how easy it is to loose 4 points in one go. I will be back into a XR6T in prob 2 years but just cant afford it at the moment.
