Mid corner grip is good.I use them for rears on the road.Tirerack did a comprehensive test of them here:Testing the New Extremes of Extreme Performance Summer TiresFRom tirerack:Kumho Ecsta XS (Extreme Performance Summer 225/45R17) What We Liked: Excellent ultimate dry cornering traction What We'd Improve: Wet traction and steering precision Conclusion: The perfect tire for drivers wanting ultimate dry cornering grip Latest Test Rank: 4th

Guest Slash Guests Posted 23/04/10 03:00 AM Share Posted 23/04/10 03:00 AM Crappiest tyres I have egver used! They had shocking straight line grip & very poor wet weather characteristics...If you're after a good tyre that wont break the bank, look into TOYO R1R's! But for $780 a set delivered, I dont see how you can go wrong
Guest Slash Guests Posted 23/04/10 05:18 AM Share Posted 23/04/10 05:18 AM R1R's are about double, but you'll get much longer life & superior grip. They are also a street tyre, not a semi-slick.

Very good pricing though, 4 17 inch for under $800 delivered to your door, that's hard to ignore!Once I get tuned I may look at the R1Rs if they are double the price as I'll only need two. Wet weather matters to me as it's my daily, but on a track, perhaps not so bad? Edit - by which I mean, race in the dry! Living in a place that averages 10mm of rain per day I'm not going to try them on the front.
