TURBOXR I miss her... Donating Members 703 Member For: 20y 4m 3d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 18/04/10 05:30 AM Share Posted 18/04/10 05:30 AM Tough times. Put my BA up for sale expecting it to take months to sell. Sold it in the first week. Gone forever.Ill miss the old girl. Awesome car.Time to change my sig I suppose...Anyway, just got back from NSW where I picked up the new one. After tossing up seriously on a 2008/9 WRX, I decided to remain a man and went with a 2008 FG XR6T ZF with the Luxo pack in ego. Got just under 40000ks on it. A bit of gutter rash on the front and one of the rims, and a scratch on the ICC LCD, but I got it for an awesome price so I can live with that for now. Other than that its immaculate. Still got new leather smell.THERE WILL BE NO MODS ON THIS ONE! Well maybe just some dark argents and a tune. BUT that's IT!I love it already. I miss the kick in the guts that my BA had, but this thing is so much smoother. I cant even notice any lag. 270kw at the flywheel?? I swear this feels like the BA did when it had 270 at the wheels.Didnt miss a beat on the drive down, notice a few small things though and wanted some input from those who have lived with one a bit longer. Confirm the tank is 68 litres? I filled it up at 30km to empty, having travelled about 500km, and it only took 45 litres at the pump to fill it. And the computer says im getting an average of 9.8L per 100km, so the math doesnt add up.Im having minor problems with the bluetooth and my iPhone, but im guessing I probably just need to update the module at a dealer to fix that. Also got a bit of water coming out onto my feet from under the ICC, I remember reading somewhere that was a common HVAC problem and a fix came out a while back. And the black paint on the wiper arms is faded/peeling. All warranty issues. Also, the silver bit on top of the auto lever that goes around the leather top is a bit faded from use, reckon the warranty will cover it? And will it cover the scratch on the ICC LCD? Apparently his 4yo son took a pen to it. Cant see it when its turned on anyway.I reckon the previous owner didnt smash his dealer for warranty fixes as much as I intend to.Can anybody recommend a dealer in Melbourne that is 'warranty friendly'? Its been 5 years since my BA had been anywhere near ford service.Ive emailed city ford and asked for some prices on some factory accessories. Namely the ipod integration, reverse camera and the perimeter alarm. Anybody know how much im up for for those? And ive already sent some emails to find somewhere to order a locking fuel cap. CPC Part SL109ULP.Oh and one more thing, is the luxury pack supposed to have a leather console lid? Thanks lads.

Do what I do and just go by the Fuel Used on the computer. You'll have to make sure you reset it at each fill but so be it. At zero range you will still have around 11 litres by my count. Most seem to dyno around 235 at the wheels; doing the maths puts it closer to 295 at the flywheel, correct me if I'm wrong guys. Mine can usually get 40km once it says 0km dte, so I think it is one of the better ones. You will also find the outside temp wrong as most are about 4-6deg out. The fuel consumption is about right.
