They must be 9" wide? I'll take a pic if you're interested?

I think theres a lot of confusion about rim size here. Aftermarket Dark Argent wheels are 9" wide. If oyu reckon 255 fit easily, maybe 265s will fit also without too much bulge. what do you reckon? Are you getitng sufficient trckion with your 255s? Just wondering if the extram 10 mm will make any difference in my case... Look forward to seeing your pics. Cheers, Darol. You can see the tyre sits nice and flush with the rim with 255's but my speedo is out Also, isn't 255mm 10 inches? Or am I clueless about tyres? Ford don't make 20's which I was alluding to with the bolding earlier. You'd be crazy not to make a wider rim if you are going to copy them, since that's a huge complaint with turbo drivers striving for traction!I've heard the widest you want on an 8" is 245, so another 2cm odd should fit safely on 9"? Is 275 the safest width to fit to a 9"?
winstor Member 611 Member For: 15y 8m 22d Posted 18/04/10 06:31 AM Share Posted 18/04/10 06:31 AM Depends on the tyre. My Nitto Invos in 275/35 have an approved rim size of 9" to 10.5".

Guest Slash Guests Posted 27/04/10 03:57 AM Share Posted 27/04/10 03:57 AM 275 will fit on a 9" rim no problem, but I think you'll find your rims aren't 9" wide mate. The copies only come in 20x8" & they have just released 20x9.5"...Where are you measuring from? Outer edge to outer edge, or inner edge to inner edge?I'd go with TOYO Proxes T1r's if your after grip, and don't worry about going wider as better quality tyres are what give extra grip
