Can I please get some advise on my 2004 XR6 turbo ute Mark 1, I have big injectors, upgraded standard exhaust, valve springs air box snorkle all dyno tuned at 235RWKW @ 13psi through cappa flash tunner, just recently I have installed myself a cappa replacement intercooler, I didnt get it retuned becuase it was running perfectly with no boost spiking. though now after about a good month or so its only hitting about 9psi boost and takes abit more to spool up. I have looked under the bonnet to chech for leaks around hoses everything seems to be fine, but I did find 2 bottom bolt missing from the turbo to the engine manifold. I have got new ones today which im goin to put on. do you think this could be my problem or could it be from the intercooler I have just installed and my need a retune? is there anything else I shoud be looking at.

I em just in the process of selling my ute now this has happened so if anyone ca please help me out that would be Appreciated. as im not to keen on speneding much more money on this car

It should be running more power with those mods.

Just check all your hoses while your there. Boost solenoid maintenance probably wouldn't be a bad idea either

yeah I no, I thought I would have got abit more out of it aswell. the tuners in Cairns dont seem to be as good as the ones down south as ive been seeing on this site. but yeah ill go back over the hoses again and replace, tighten all missing bolts. I heard the actuator would go befor the boost solenoid.

yeah I may have to get it tuned, do you think by putting that intercooler on and not getting retuned could make the computer think differently or this problem has nothing to do with the computer? though ill put them bolts in turbo manifold and do the soliniod Maintenance and see how it goes! thanks.
