yeh isnt the only point to having papers with a pup in case you want to breed them further down the track?? that way you can prove the bloodline etc?

Even then, it really only matters to actual breeders otherwise you certainly wont get top dollar. Very important in dog shows but personally not my thing. Just buy the right dog for you. When you find it, you'll know straight away :)

The other thing to be careful about is dogs from pet stores. They will never be purebreds so be cautious of paying more than $500. Even then, they are making a tidy profit. I recently saw huskies going for $1100... Major rip off.

Friend rescued some lab's from the pound the other day. Found walking the streets of Balga. Friendlist dogs you've ever seen

Ok guys....

in the next 12 months or so I wanna get a british bulldog pup.... and I have been looking on the net at some info and prices etc...

they seem pretty steep like 3k for a pup.... and I havent really found any in SA....

so was wondering two things before I go any further... for anyone who might know... how much should I be paying...

and are there many pro's or cons to the breed I may need to know about (have read on the net some, but better to hear from owners themselves)....

if anyone could tell me some info would be much appreciated.

I have two aussie bulldogs. Very sismilar to a british bulldog. The only difference ever so slightly longer which reduces the breathing difficulties. Other than that basically the same build and what not. Price is heaps cheaper as well. I paid $1000 each for mine.
