Hey all I'd like to know if anyone had a problem like I did it's a bf sII when it's under pressure it seems to turn the stereo off on it's own then switch back on or if I give it a bit and stability control get activated the lights on the dash come on and the speedo stops working the lights that come on where the engine, oil and water lights where flashing and the tranny was going from 1st to 2nd for about 10 seconds but when I turned the car off then start it up again it's fine I was told that a cell in the battery is gone but somehow I don't think it would cause this much hassle oh also when I try to start it it seems like it's having probs starting but then it will fire up I always thought the alternator takes over after you start the car.

the alternator is fine im pretty sure its the battery (even though its 3months old) but I have never had this problem with my el

Battery can cause some really weird thing to happen on these, EL was a fair bit less complicated.

Check the water levels in the battery, you'd be surprised how often you will get on with low levels and it collapses a cell a few months later.

Yours is an ex highway car... did it orginally have the Optima Yellow top?

What battery do you have in now?

Also make sure your terminals are contacting firmly with the leads...sounds like an earth leak
