my mate had this problem. he had his bolts welded to the flex plate.

since doing this its never come loose again, when he had his box rebuilt they just ground the welds fixed the box and welded new bolts on again.

the only bad thing he said was buying a new flex plate every rebuild.

My flex plate let go on Fri have a newbie on it's way through Nizpro.

We found the tranny was an exchange unit and whoever had it off previously

re-used old bolts and did not even lock tight in.

Hey guys

I had my flex plate comming loose a few weeks ago and brought the car back and had it fixed... now I was driving today and yet again the car is making the same sound as before  , I will get it towed to the shop again because if I keep driving it the bolt holes can elongate and then the crank will have to come out of my newly blue printed motor.

Is it possible that new bolts need to be used when the plate is fitted? or are there special bolts that can be used? I have been assured that locktite has been used but the bolts are still comming out

in saying this its also possible they have stripped the bolts

has anyone else had or seen the same problem?

What sorf of sound was it PW?
