I have looked into this as well, and asked a Ford dealer how much for a plain boot lid, he quoted me $1100 ready to paint!!

I'll stick with the boot lid I have now and the spoiler as they actually do something at 200klm/phr

XR6TCamo- I Have a mercury silver xr6t aswell and I just took my spoiler off the other day and just put gromets in the holes. the bolt holes also are an oval shape not a circle shape, but u can just fit a circle shape gromet in to fir like it did. Doesn't look the best with the gromets but I didn't want the spoiler on anymore because it looks better IMO. The only issue I have with it is where the spoiler sat on the boot it has scratched away the paint in certain areas and also where the spoiler bolts onto the boot, it actually has a little lip around the edge of the holes and doesn't sit flat with the rest of the boot. You're also doing to yours what I want to do to mine, spoiler removed, lowered on ba mark 2 gtp rims. It look awesome like in that picture, especially with the brembo brakes.

I was quoted $400 to fill the holes and respray the boot lid. That is mates rates and I would have to do the buff and polish.

I am thinking the DJR or something similar. Does the F6E little kicker one use the same holes as the XR's ???

Thinking something like they used on the XB, XC that enhances that nice line around the ass of the car

yer I was thinking about whether or not it would have scratches as I took the mud flaps off when I got the car and the front right has a little mark where the paint has been rubbed away by the guard so im thinking the same for the spoiler itll be last on the list so I can make up my mind once everything is done.

cheers for all the suggestions and answers

I had a merc silver, custom plates, lowered, de badged and de winged... it looked tough... bu I had the same problem with the scratches on the boot as well... also I taped mine for a few days to make sure.... silver duck tape isnt very hard to find... and whatever you do... dont de wing it before you lower it... it makes the back look really high imo.
