Posted 08/04/10 01:04 AM Share Posted 08/04/10 01:04 AM gas system hereLooking to get gas on the daily then I saw a servo I go past have this gas coming soon. It is the 1st and only gas station of the sort in VICTORIA. Apparently its the sh*t and saves heaps on cash etc. First 100 installs of the gas conversion system gets FREE FUEL FOR A WHOLE YEAR unlimited in the car!Anyone know how much these systems cost to install? Anyone got some info on the systems? Just rang up the REP.This system gives the car -4% torque, but +3% HP. (its 135 octane rated!)System is about 3800-4000$ to install. They are working on the gov rebate of 2300$ the same as LPG. This is still in the works over the next few months while they prepare the servo with the system. It is a 90L tank (which will be equivilent to 25L fuel). You get about 250km on a 90L full tank. You can run duel fuel like normal LPG.They have carby and Fuel injected setups. The quote was for my EB so obviosuly fuel injected quote.First 100 signups get free fuel for a whole year unlimited. Not to mention its half the price of GAS. ~.30c a liter.-----------------Well....Donno about all this for 4k. Can get one of those new injected GAS systems for that price. Millage aint that great either when new injected systems give you 600+km's.Anyone with input? I suppose its a little off set by the cost (LPG is around 50-60cpl up here I think) but man, 250k's from 90L ?!?! But if you want lower running costs, opt for CNG. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/67411-new-cng-gas-systems/#findComment-998553 Share on other sites

Even with the 2200$ grant... Running costs....by the time they catch up to the LPG, it will be 10+ years. You service lpg every 10,000k along with a minor / major service for 55$.Meh I cant see myself getting cng even thoguh it will be available at my servo down the road.just cant see REAL benefits. Not to mention LPG you get 60L tank @ 50c a liter that gets you 450-500km's. Where as 90L @ 30c will get you 250km's. Also GAS setup and tank etc is much lighter.meh...lpg it is id say!
