I did 600k's of driving around in Vic, up the Hume the GV and towards Yarrawonga and seen two cop cars, one was a pathetic GD sitting on the Hume with a radar in bumper to bumper traffic, the other was a more serious black Terrority turbo unmarked in the middle of Yarrawonga.

Certainly didn't get the impression there was a blitz on.

I did Newcastle --> Coffs Harbour the thursday before Easter. Probably saw two dozen of them. Saw three or four before I even got out of Newcastle.

Well if it's not 'raising revenue' why is there a monetary penalty to begin with? If they were absolutely serious they would decrease the allowable demerit points and get rid of fines altogether. Your thoughts?

Slightly related topic...upset a speed camera operator this morning at the end of my street, asked him if it was legal to park at an intersection and surely that wasn't an approved camera site. He told me to mind my own business and then moved it 5 minutes later...guess that was a no on both counts.

The coppas luv that sh*t bit of road.

I refuse to drive on double demerit holidays.

We all know it's nothing at all to do with safety (well most of us that aren't sheep). It's like shooting fish in a barrel, easy money and bleating speed kills makes it all acceptable to the morons in the media that let the governments and police get away with murder.

To whom it may concern :beerchug:

Saw one unmarked cop at North Sydney and one marked at Clybucca....other than that....zilch....

Sat on the CB with the truckies up and back and even they were saying how few cops were out on the highway.....go figure? :dontknow:

15,000 motorists were booked in QLD for speeding over easter. We only had one single fatality that wasnt speed related.

The police commissioner is still pumping out how dangerous we all are doing 5 over causing deaths everywhere, yet the stats dont agree. What is interesting is our state government went broke, then all of a sudden the police "crack" down on speeding like they've never done before... dodgy. Anna Bligh should be sacked.

Good 'ol Captain Bligh. Too busy deploying speed cameras catching people doing 10kays over to stop the ships from destroying the Barrier Reef. She should be locked up.
