Which brings me to..After much research between BFmk1 differences to BF mk2 I had come to the conclusion that I'll never find out exactly what I was after.. which is, whats the differences between the 2 models when it comes to the valve springs and the rods. As there is so many different opinions here and there over different forums, etc.. I ended up calling ##### Ford parts and spoke to the bloke and asked him to look at the part numbers between the models from (my)BF MK1 11/05 and onwards to the BF MK2 2008 xr6 turbos. He said from 09/2005 onwards to the fg the valve springs had the same part number. And from 04/2007 the rods changed there part number. Please dont crucify me as I know this is a touchy subject to some and by no means am I saying this is gospel just wanted to share my knowledge from as far as I could go.. Mind you this doesnt help me with the bottom end looks like the buck's gunna stop at 350rwkw unless I win lotto. Can hold a fair bit more power then the ba motors. Stronger rods, valve springs are just a start.Plenty of BF 06/06+ running low 400rwkw on this forum.Minimal BAs running over 340rwkw without problems.Mine blew @ 320rwkw (after just 6 hours of taking it out from tuner!!!)Got an 07 tornado (same as f6 06/06+ motor) and reaching 400rwkw without drama's (yet and hopefully wont get any, anytime soon!). Still using standard valve springs/bottom end.You will REALLY be pushing for 350rwkw. Be happy to make 340rwkw @ 17/18psi. And that's already pushign your luck... It goes gr8 now but cant help but want more. no point running so close to the danger zone unless I got the coin to back it up for a blown motor.
