Hey Guys, long time reader, first time posting...

I have a FG F6 ute and am looking at upgrading the exhaust system. My tuner recommends fitting a full Di Filippo system; 3-1/2" dump into twin 2-1/2" pipes and a hi-flow cat (not sure what size). Has anyone fitted one of these sytems to their vehicle and are they any good? I have noticed a lot of people on here are running a X-Force system, would this be a better choice?

I am hoping to achieve 400-450rwkws with future mods such as aftermarket cooler, cold & hot side piping, 4" cai, larger 60lb injectors, upgraded actuator, surge tank/fuel pump, ugraded valve springs and tune. I am concerned the Di Filippo system may be too restrictive for my goal and was thinking a 4" dump and twin 2-1/2" system may be better suited?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You'd be the first person ive heard of that has gone down the Di Fillipo path. 4 inch dump would be a better option, or a split dump. I went with a single system as I didnt want to cut into the bar at the back. Ive kept an eye out for a replacement rear bar with 2 grooves for tail pipes. Nothing yet but have spoken to a manufacturer that is willing to take it on.

Personally, I dont think the X Force is your best option. IMO, get a custom system made in Perth by a reputable performance exhaust shop.

450rwkw will be a big ask with those mods.

Cheers mate, that's what I thought. I was unsure of the Di Filippo system as I hadn't heard of anyone else using one. I will most likely go down the path of a custom exhaust.

I'm pretty sure that I saw in an issue of Street Fords magazine a white FG F6 sedan that was tuned by CV Performance with similar mods that produced 450rwkws not too long ago and that was what I was basing my assumptions on.

I had a Di Filippo single 3.5 inch from the turbo back on my BF Typhoon and I loved it.

It had a unique sound compared to what everyone else seemed to be running.

Hi there I went for a drive in an fg turbo with a defillipo exhaust putting out approx 318 rwks.It was awesome and the note was incredibly good. Was told by the tuners if you want a quite exhaust use defillipo not the xforce its louder.I was thinking of putting one in my car but unfortunately for me it was too loud.I use my car as more of a family car and appreciate the quiteness.Thinking of putting just 100 cell cat for now. Anyhow this car did not drone at 100kmh. I was told it was good for over 400 rkws. If I was younger I would probably appreciate the noise much more. The guys at bluepower were the ones who organised this run for me as I was getting my car tuned and wanting more power and was restricted by my exhaust.Hope this helps
