I'd kill for a tank 20 ltrs bigger. Swap the sedan for a ute, you'll get your 80 litre tank, and some change left over for the engine mods! ciao Hmm...I like the IRS too much. Recently did a tour from SA to VIC and did about 3000 kms. Got a bit concerned when down to 40 km on the DTE readout, and was 55 km out of the nearest servo. Got there OK and filled up with 81 litres... Never allow myself to be in that position again. Nothing, and I mean nothing, would have been worse than to have to cope with the missus pissin in my ear about running out of fuel.Another pain in the butt, was that PULP (Optimax) is not available at all SHELL servos.Had a good drive from Warnambool through to Melbourne, but due to enthusiastic stint along Great Ocean Road, being chased by an SS, I ran a liitle dry by the time I got to Lorne... NO PULP available. Put 15 litres of ULP and drove on and filled up at Anglesea.

Best I got, was 11.1 l/100km, over the first 600 km on one fill, with a good margin spare left over.... I'd say a good 700km range is easy to achieve.Thought I'd take it easy when we set off from Adelaide, going down to Robe, Cape Jaffa and Mt Gambier..... Was intending to do an economy run..... until we got near to Portland, and dear wife asked "Why are you driving like an HgAg owner ?" So I satisfied my primal urge from that point on, and averaged about 13l/100 for the rest of the 2400 km trip. I estimated that the stretch from Warnambool to Lorne I probably averaged about 21 litres/100 km. But it was worth every drop of SHELL OPTIMAX!I had to keep slowing down for a pursuer in a Hot house SS sedan.
